Hi Anna! - Hi Anna, do you have any good study tips for someone nearing the end of high school? I’m hoping to do law and obviously need to work extremely hard to get that atar but struggle to balance study with other aspects of my life. Also, massive fan of yours and the healthy lifestyle you promote! xx

You do have to work hard, but at the same time I believe you need to keep a balanced life. I have always prided myself on maintaining and sustaining a balanced life because I know the importance of it. Like anything you do, it’s about quality, not quantity. Try to find out what works best for you while keeping a balanced lifestyle so you are able to you your maximizes the time you do have to study. Work the hardest you can but know that if you don’t get the marks you wanted there’s always another way to get into law. I didn’t go straight into law when I left school. Good luck with all the study. I am sure you’ll be great. xxx

Hi Anna! - What was one of the most challenging times in your life? How did you deal with it?

This is actually a challenging question as there have been various events and circumstances in my life that have been challenging. Like many people, a death in the family is and always will be challenging. The way I deal with anything challenging would be surrounding yourself with family and friends, people you can talk to and will help you through.

Hi Anna! - what do you enjoy most about being a lawyer?

I never thought I would study law let alone practice it until I finished my first degree and was at a standstill for what to do next. Once I begun studying law it was about taking each subject at a time. As I begun to pass each subject it was more of a challenge to see if I could get through the degree, as I didn’t believe I could do it.  So to get to your question, Law is about challenging myself and giving me the belief that i can do it. The various cases are always interesting too.

Hi Anna! - Hi Anna! Congrats on your blog – I love it! Are you planning on visiting New Zealand anytime soon? Also, you and Tim are such an amazing couple :)

Hi, thank you for your message. We don’t have any immediate plans to go to New Zealand but I would definitely love to head there in the near future. I have only ever been there once before so would love to go back. Watch this space 🙂

Hi Anna! - I’m currently in my fourth year at uni studying law. I was wondering what you suggest in terms of getting a job working in law throughout your degree? Do you think you need to have some experience before you graduate? thank you!

I was in my last year, of a three year post graduate degree, when it was requirement to do work experience to complete the course. I was a receptionist in the firm I work in now as a legal practitioner.

The best advice I could give you is – if you are given an opportunity to work at a firm take it. Many people find it extremely difficult to find one after they complete their degree. We are constantly inundated with enquiries about positions.

With that said, do what feels right for you and work towards an area that interests you most.

Hi Anna! - what type of lawyer are you

I am a criminal lawyer. I have been practicing law for almost 4 years now. I would love to explore other areas in the future.

Hi Anna! - Do you think it’s important that woman be independent from men when it comes to money?

I find this question quite difficult to answer because until you walk in someone else’s shoes and are living the life they live you can not judge or say there is a right or wrong way.

Personally, i think it is extremely important to be independent. Not only from men but everyone that surrounds me. It gives me a sense of achievement. I don’t like relying on others. It gives me more pleasure when spending knowing I have worked damn hard to get.

Always live a life that feels right for you.

Thank you for sighning up lover!
