SPOTLIGHT ON: CARLA ZAMPATTI’S SPRING-SUMMER COLLECTION

It’s safe to say my favourite time of the year is fast-approaching – Fashion Week Australia. And what better way to kick off the high-fash festivities than with a sneak peek of Carla Zampatti’s spring-summer fashion show; a showcase of what the designer will have in store next season.
Inviting guests into her palatial Eastern Suburbs home for the show, I was completely blown away by the array of tasseled dresses, caped jumpsuits and the accessory of the season, the choker.
Delta Goodrem was a surprise addition to the show, wearing an ethereal Chantilly lace gown to close Carla’s incredible awe-striking catwalk (and she looked absolutely INCREDIBLE).
Here were my top five looks off the catwalk:
1. A pinstripe pantsuit is the perfect way to move effortlessly from 9am to 9pm. The structured blazer creates the perfect sweet (yet sexy) silhouette, dramatically paired with heavy hand candy and two-toned hues which add depth to the look.
2. Sultry yet simultaneously sophisticated, Carla’s designed the perfect pantsuit for a night out with your girlfriends. Bonus points for the crisscross front (and plunging neckline), which is fast-replacing the cross-over back for the new s
3. Blazers were a cornerstone of Carla’s show (which I absolutely loved!) Whilst the tailored blazer is a personal favourite of mine, the relaxed, oversized blazer also gets my tick of approval, especially when paired with a structured pant (which in turn lengthens the legs). Note: Who doesn’t love an all-white suit?
4. Molten metallic for the win! Paying homage to cool silvers and rich golds, metallic rush has also been a prolific part of global runway shows (which means, we should keep our peepers peeled for more of this trend). The bare shoulders and sunkissed decolletage pays homage to summer, with the lightweight fabric allowing one to wear right through the cooler months.
5. Metallic made a second appearance in Carla’s interpretation of the “tough leather jacket/floral dress” trend of years gone by, fast-replaced by an oversized, foiled coat perfectly paired with pastel and lace for a feminine refresh.
And so many more amazing moments………

such great shots!
Thanks Lucy. xx
