THE DYSON SUPERSONIC WILL BLOW YOU AWAY

Unless you’ve been hiding under quite a hefty rock (out of the cold, of course), than you would’ve probably heard about the new Dyson Supersonic which prom-ises to dry hair faster whilst protecting your natural shine…which means its offi-cially a staple in my beauty kit. Thanks to an advanced digital motor (in the han-dle, not the head) the dryer will blast your goddess locks into submission with-out that overbearing roar whilst on the phone/watching Netflix (you know, cos drying can be a total bore). Keep in mind, the “hairdryer” has remained un-changed since the 1960s, making the Dyson Supersonic the first to use intelligent heat control to protect your natural shine. But don’t think this was a concept thought up over night; it took 50 months of research in a purpose built hair lab and 1625km of hair to ensure the Dyson was the first of its kind.
The truth is, I’ve been trialling out this amazing product for the last few days, working with the Dyson team to launch their incredible new product (and I can definitely tell the difference in my tame tresses). Yesterday, I got to rave about how brilliant the Dyson Supersonic is at a styling session at the David Jones store on Elizabeth Street, Sydney. Shoppers were invited in-store for an exclusive hair styling and pampering, with professional blow-dries on offer thanks to the in-credible folk from Valonz. The ambient tunes were pumping, champagne and canapés were a-plenty and hand massages were being given to all those who did-n’t have their mitts full of goodies. I got to meet a lot of incredible people who were very excited to find out more about the sleek, new dryer (before getting their very own hair did).
Chatting with MC Nick Bartlett about the innovative tool onstage, I also got to share a few of my very own top-secret style tips one being: ALWAYS use a styling/smoothing nozzle to get your hairdresser fix. (The Dyson Supersonic magnetic styling concentrator/smoothing nozzle does just this like never before).
After all the chit-chat, I must admit, the clear winner was an obvious one to me. Whilst this new hairdryer would make my pre-work routine a lot easier, it would’ve also been the easiest styling tool to pack for my recent travels through Europe. Keep in mind, the dryer’s lighter, so I could’ve squeezed a hell of a lot more sandals, swimmers and sundresses into my vacay kit. Note: your boy-friend’s also going to love this thing as the humble hairdryer won’t break their snoozy sleep-ins thanks to its quieter (and smaller) motor. With heat control and natural shine management, fast and efficient motor, balance and light in the hand, I’m struggling to find fault in such an innovative product. And whilst it’s at the premium end of the retail market, it’s probably going to save you a signifi-cant amount in blow-dries (yep, “holiday hair” will be a thing of the past in no time at all.)
The verdict? Well, it’s obvious from my end but you’ll have to give it a try (but once you do, make sure you tell me what you think of it! I’d love to hear about your experience.)
Testing out the Dyson Supersonic at home (image above)

I absolutely love love lOVE mine!! It usually takes me over half an hour to get my hair only partially dry, but the supersonic got it completely dry in only 12-minutes and that included a lot of fiddling around testing the different settings so I know once I get into a routine it will be even quicker! I usually need to run the straightener over my hair after drying but I didn’t have to after using the supersonic – winning!! I only used the tiniest bit of Moroccan Oil in my hair (out of habit) but I really didn’t need it as the supersonic made it smooth enough without any product. The shine and silky factor is to die for, I have bleached blonde hair but after a supersonic blow dry my hair looks so shiny and feels really soft. I am definitely converted! (and I’m not a dyson rep, not a hairdresser and not a paid blogger). X
