HITTING THE SLOPES IN STYLE

NEXT STOP: Queenstown! Tim and I have decided to escape for a long weekend away. I can’t wait for some Schnapps, après-ski action and lots of selfie-taking with the mountain backdrops. Snow style is actually quite easy to attain with a few tricks. Here’s my guide to looking chic even in the freezing cold (minus four degrees anyone??).
Accessories are key to injecting cool without blowing the outfit budget. Not sure where to begin? Make sure you pack the necessities which will keep you warm.
A fleece will become your new best friend. Make sure you pick a size which you can fit comfortably under your outerwear. Check out the Mathces Fashion Ski sale, they have 70% off some brands. The Kjus jacket is only $96 which leaves plenty of money for an extra Schnapps.
Isabel Marants’s Étoile’s have a cult following due to being cosy, comfortable and super stylish. The best bit for me is the extra height with the concealed wedge. I mean if heels are a no-go in the snow, surely these are the next best thing?
If you can splash out on a fabulous scarf, Max Mara has you covered with this generous ribbed knit and raccoon fur. Add some more (un)real fur on top with the Natasha hat from the iconic.
Finally, let me introduce you to the ultimate accessory this season: the pom pom beanie. The pom pom embellished beanie makes a timeless addition to any cold-weather edit. If you want to make every penny count you can check out these budget friendly beanies from Treney and Milana. Yves Solomon adds a little more luxe with the raccoon-fur pom pom.
Finally, stick with a simple colour scheme and wearing interchangeable Roxy pieces. Depending on your budget and taste, there are plenty of statement block separates to be the envy of everyone on the slopes. Stay tuned for some highlights from our weekend away.
