SEE YOURSELF IN A NEW LIGHTThe Edit / What I Wore / Where I Went - Fashion Events categories: The Edit What I Wore Where I Went - Fashion Events
The Myer Spring Summer Fashion Show began with a magical light show at the Horden Pavilion last night. Mesmerizing music sounded from the live band on top of the stage. The show had 300 looks, a 32 metre runway and 72 stunning models (including Jennifer Hawkins and internationally acclaimed Fernanda Ly).
The New Light theme saw models transformed with sleek silhouettes, playful pastels and thick textures. There were a lot metallic colours, blush pinks and fresh whites which stood out for me. Spring Summer 2017 is well and truly on its way (yes I know it is cold and rainy outside, but trust me.. it is coming!).
One of my highlights was the stunning Face of Myer, Jen Hawkins, strutting the catwalk in her sailor-striped bikini. Boy, am I ready to sail into summer! In keeping with the nautical inspiration, royal blues and denim led the way for men this summer.
The show was all about trying new things and discovering yourself in a new light. From stunning sheer lace with brocade embroidery to structured tailoring in feminine silhouettes, this season is one to see yourself in a fresh way.
The show acted as reminder to put your best fashion foot forward and explore looks, styles and combinations which you wouldn’t normally opt for. With a new season, comes new life and fresh opportunities.
I wore the YEOJIN BAE Double Crepe Emma dress in blush pink. The scoop neckline had a cross wrap around the bodice. I choose the pink fitted dress because I wanted something feminine and flattering. I accessorized . Oscar de la Renta and wore chunky statement pieces from Pierre Winter Fine Jewels.
I’ll have no problem filling out my wardrobe with the new season Spring Summer looks from Myer.
To recreate my look you will need a pink pencil dress + nude heels + pink clutch + gold jewels.
