IT’S PARTY TIMEThe Edit / What I Wore categories: The Edit What I Wore
With less than 6 weeks until Christmas (yep, can you believe it?), the festive season is absolutely in full blown swing! It is time to get ready for the silly season.
I’m a sucker for a good party dress (or jumpsuit) for the long lunches and summer nights out on the town. What better way to celebrate the extra burst of sunshine and additional events than with a few new wardrobe additions?
It goes without saying that you can’t really go wrong when you wear something which you feel good in. I hate the stress of wearing something that you think looks worn, that doesn’t fit or just doesn’t flatter you. My number one hot tip would be to have some backup wardrobe items which are fail proof so you can always have some pieces on rotation during the busy festive season. You don’t need to buy something new for every occasion if you can shop smart and buy a few basics to wear time and time again.
On the topic of partying, I often get questions on my blog asking me my tips and tricks to looking confident on a night out. Obviously having an outfit you feel comfortable in is important but never forget the essentials: good company and A BIG SMILE!
SHOP MY LOOK: LACY LOVE
There is just something so feminine, chic and summery about white lace. To pick a winner, opt for something chic to show off your summer glow.
I’m wearing a lacey number from Rodeo Show. The infamous bell sleeve is a flattering cut which instantly makes me feel oh so graceful – so what is not to love about it?
If you want something to steal a bit of the lime light, ASOS has a show stopping high necked lace dress. I’d keep the accessories neutral to avoid overdoing the look.
SHOP MY LOOK: CLASSIC JUMPY
When in doubt, a classic wardrobe staple is the full piece jumpsuit. The jumpsuit trend doesn’t seem to be going away anytime too soon either so get on board if you haven’t already. I’ve added in a choker to mix things up a little bit. I know navy and black are not most exciting colours for summer, however they do always look good and can be flattering when we feel like we have had one too many pavlova serves (ooppps!).
