NYE OUTFITS TO GET YOU NOTICEDI Love / The Edit categories: I Love The Edit
For NYE I am someone who loves to have a good time with friends and the fam bam. This year we will be in Byron for NYE so I am looking forward to celebrating with everyone up here.
These are a few of my tips to enjoying the night:
1. Location, location: Get a good vantage point or be somewhere where you can catch up with a few friends. The best bit about NYE is wishing everyone well into the new year and being together to laugh about some of the best moments of 2016. If you don’t have a house party or event to attend to, organise a few friends to meet at a venue or somewhere you can all relax. A lot of the pubs and restaurant have special offers on for NYE.
2. Sensible shoes: If you will be at a house party then by all means whip out your best heels. Otherwise, always pack a change of shoes such as ballet flats. Otherwise opt small block heels or sandals because there can be a lot of walking involved as every man and their dog is trying to hustle cabs, ubers and buses.
3. Dress to impress: Let the celebrations go off with a bang and know that there will be a lot of photos and fun. These are my hot outfit picks for the night below:
With oversized sleeves and a slimming A-line shape this Lover dress will make a statement for your NYE event. In the shoe department, I have worn my simple suede heels from Tony Bianco with the majority of my wardrobe this season (I also own them in black!). I love them because the studs and embellishments jazz up your shoe game. You can be playful on NYE with The Bedouin Clutch. The multicoloured pompom adds some boho vibes to any simple dress. The clutch is made with smooth raw-cut suede to endure the party season. The light-blue crinkled silk on this jumpsuit is perfect for keeping cool on a hot and people packed NYE. The billowy silhouette styles easily with sandals. This white shift dress is simple and elegant, this A-line silhouette is perfect for channelling that cool understated vibe.
Another way to add a bit of playful fun to your NYE outfit is a fluffy pair of heels. The fluffy strap across the toes rests below a slender 13cm stiletto heel on these from Tony Bianco. Rebecca Valance’s mini dress can be worn on high rotation with the monochrome colour and ruffle trim (and best of all, it is ON SALE at David Jones). When it comes to hemlines, they don’t need to be sky high to get attention. You can get that extra-luxe touch with this plunging V-neckline and fishtail hem from Bec and Bridge. I’ve adopted the runway trend of Perspex heels. These wrap-around, suede ankle strap heels add a conversation starter to any outfit. I find mules to be a little comfier than heels so if it will be a long night, opt for a wedge heel (or put ballet flats in your bag for the commute home). With a striking floral linen and bow neck time, this Zimmermann dress meets the NYE dressing spec. While the Proneza bag is certainty at the pricey end of the budget spectrum, the signature inverted stuck and lock feature will turn heads. This investment splash item will make a statement both day and night.
Wishing you all a very happy and enjoyable NYE!! Looking forward to a big 2017 with you all and thank you for all the love this year. May 2016 go off with a bang!
