Carla Zampatti S/S 2017 TeatroWhat I Wore / Where I Went - Fashion Events categories: What I Wore Where I Went - Fashion Events
Underneath the gorgeous chandeliers and amongst the floating confetti, the Carla Zampatti Spring Summer 2017 Teatro show unfolded yesterday.
As we arrived at the Sydney Theatre Company, we knew what was about to unfold would be a lavish showing. We were right, the stage showcased disco mesh dresses, flowing fishtail tops in organza and embroidered ensembles.
Among the A-list guest were Kate Waterhouse, Kerri Anne Kennerley, Dami Im, Ksenija Lukich and Terry Biviano.
What do I personally love about Carla? The brand epitomises feminine dressing. Not only do young fashion bloggers wear the label, it is also respected by politicians and some of Australia’s more esteemed women. Carla continues to design pieces which consistently sing style, power and glamour.
It was a natural choice to wear Carla for the show. Outfit wise, I went for all black and accessorised with red lippy and bold earrings.
Again I was wearing one of my favourite fabrics, velvet. Check the post with my favourites pieces to add to your wardrobe.
The look I was going for was all about daytime elegance. I paired simple pointed high heels with my striking full-length velvet set. In terms of shape, the off-the-shoulder cut was balanced by the accentuated flares which draped from my pants.
Less was more in this case because I didn’t want to go too overboard with accessories and textures otherwise I find it borders close to an outfit confusion. To avoid looking over dressed for the daytime, always keep the colour scheme and textures balanced with a only few simple accessories.
